The Toronto Maple Leafs joined the National Hockey League in its inaugural season in 1917, throughout several changes to the team’s identity one thing remained constant, this is Toronto’s hockey team. We take great pride in representing our city and our fans over the last 100+ years, with great pride also brings great responsibility to lead and to inspire positive and enduring social change.

The Maple Leafs and Marlies are proud to support diverse communities, including members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. We are committed to promoting a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment within hockey—both on and off the ice. On November 5th, The Toronto Maple Leafs welcomed a group from Friends of Ruby for a special game day experience at Scotiabank Arena. Hosted by Toronto Maple Leafs' Mark Fraser and Brock McGillis, the group enjoyed watching morning skate, toured the Leafs locker room and Scotiabank Arena, had a chance to meet players, speak with Brian Burke and attend the Leafs game.
